Unlock the potential of your website.

Top Tips – Seven Actions.

  1. Identify a selection of Keywords that are specific, popular and practical: what is your website about?
  2. Add at least one keyword rich page to your website every month.
  3. Remove all references to ‘products’ and ‘services’ within your website.
  4. Do a Google PPC tutorial or buy “Adwords for Dummies” and understand how it really works.
  5. Join (or link to me if you are already a member) BT Tradespace, ecademy, 4networking and LinkedIn – four b2b online networking communities.
  6. Create unique keyword rich meta titles and meta descriptions for every page of your website.
  7. Ensure it is clear what the options are for positive action from every page of your website. Getting a visitor closer to becoming a customer.

Don’t try to do everything at once. For one you’ll find it too overwhelming and probably give up, but two, the search engines prefer to see websites that change by increments over time. The search engines know of the existence of your website because it has ‘spiders’ (packets of code) that crawl the Internet following links and indexing everything they find. If every time a spider visits your website something has changed it will return again more frequently, keeping your index live and your ranking current.
